Now that the agricultural work has been completed for the time being, it is now time to take care of the shipping traffic in the port and down the Elbe to the North Sea. In the meantime 28 new ships have been built for this purpose. Above all, of course, the typical ships of the port of Hamburg, such as the barges, the various ships of the port tours - and some are still missing and have yet to be built.
Since the river Elbe is not infinitely wide, especially in the harbour area, but rather quite narrow, the creation of the routes and the timing is a special challenge.
The aim is to create as dense shipping traffic as possible without a ship getting stuck on the bank every few hundred metres because of a failed evasive manoeuvre.
After several days of trying out and adjusting the rods and sailing times, I have now succeeded in getting so many ships to sail that on a flight from Hamburg to Helgoland you can constantly see ships sailing on the river Elbe.
Here is a view of the shipping traffic in the port so far.
Here are the ships that have sailed so far:

As already mentioned, there are still some typical ships missing, such as the vehicles of the police and fire brigade, customs and above all the well-known tourist ships of the "Great Harbour Tour".
This should be sufficient for the beginning as an overview. More ships will follow. I will keep you informed.
